Dr. Muhammad Afzal has received his PhD in Entomology from the University of Karachi in 1983, and his Master of Philosophy in Physiology from Quaid-i-Azam University in 1984. He has been working with World Health Organization Regional Office for Eastern Mediterranean (EMRO/WHO) as a Research Policy and Cooperation (RPC) Expert, A/Regional Advisor, Executive Editor, Consultant Joint External Evaluation (JEE), and so on, since 2005 to 2021. He collaborated with Pasteur Institute of Iran as an Advisor in Eastern Mediterranean Health Genomics and Biotechnology Network (Since 2009). He was the Chief Editor of “Natural History News”, “Union Catalogue of Pakistani Scientific and Technological Libraries”, “White Meat Journal (quarterly) “ and “Annual Trade and Technology Directory” journals. He has many publications in different fields, such as “Pest Ecology, Control and Management”, “Biological Control”, “Applied Entomology”, “Ecology”, “Behavioral Analysis”, “Biochemistry”, “Quantitative Biology & Genetics”, “Biodiversity, Taxonomy and Morphology”, “Health Research”, “Bioinformatics”, and so on.
